Thai NBTC Increases LTE Band 40 Band Authentication Requirements

         The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) has confirmed that from May 28, 2018, RF and SAR or EMF test reports of band 40-band wireless wide area network (WWAN) and cell phone products need to be supplemented before they can be officially sold in the Thai market.

 

At present, NBTC certification for mobile phone products is mainly based on the following requirements：

1. NBTC TS1015-2560 (2017) for WCDMA

2. NBTC TS1004-2560 (2017) for GSM

3. NBTC TS1027-2560 (2017) for E-UTRA

At present, there are some mobile phone bands that can be supported in Thai market：GSM900/1800；3G (WCDMA) Band 1/3/5/8；4G( LTE )Band 1/3/5/8/40。

May 28, 2018

Be careful:

If the customer has a test report earlier than the effective date mentioned above, Dephwa Testing can discuss with NBTC whether type approval can be carried out without LTE 40 band.
